The Sikh Legacy In Pakistan

GANDA SINGH WALA: Ganda Singh Wala, a border village named after a Sikh, on partition fell in Pakistan, resulting in all of its Sikh population to move.

Seven decades later, I as a Sikh returned to the village to watch the Ganda Singh Walla-Ferozepur border closing ceremony but being a foreigner, was stopped by the border police from being at the divide line.

It did not matter, as within moments the people proceeding to the border ceremony were more interested in having selfies with me than to be at the border closing ceremony.
